Privacy policy.
This is the personal site of Arjun Palakkazhi ("I", "me"), served at a2coder.dev. Short version: I count visits with Google Analytics and there are no accounts. Apart from that, the only cookie and the only third-party services are on the contact page, and only once you start answering.
What I collect
- Visit statistics. Every page loads Google Analytics 4, which records the pages you view, how you got here, your approximate location, device and browser, and sets the
_gacookies to tell repeat visits apart. I use it only to see which pages people read. No advertising, no tracking pixels, and I don't turn on Google's ad features. Fonts and images are served from this domain. A content blocker or the Google Analytics opt-out add-on stops it. - Server logs. Like any web server, mine may record the standard request details (IP address, time, URL, browser user agent) for security and debugging. I don't use them to identify you, and I don't share them.
- Email you send me. If you write to hello@a2coder.dev, I keep the message and your address to reply. Nothing else happens to it.
The contact page
The contact page asks about your project, then for your name, email and, if you like, phone, company and notes. Here's where each part goes:
- While you answer, your answers stay in your browser (sessionStorage). They're cleared when you send them or close the tab.
- Your answers, without your contact details, go to Anthropic's Claude API for two things: matching an answer written in your own words to one of the options, and writing the requirements sheet you see at the end.
- To keep out bots, the page loads Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks your browser, and sets one cookie,
a2c: a random session id that lasts an hour and is only sent to the contact page's own API. - When you press Send, your answers, the sheet and your details are saved on my server and emailed to me through Resend. I use them only to reply to you and to work on your project, and I delete them when you ask.
What your browser stores
The Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_<id>, up to two years), sent to Google with each page view. theme in localStorage, set when you switch between paper and ink, and on the contact page your answers in sessionStorage until you send them. Those two never leave your device on their own. Clear your site data to remove all of them.
Links to other sites
The footer links to LinkedIn and Instagram, and posts link out to docs and projects. Those sites have their own privacy policies; once you click through, this one no longer applies.
Your rights
You can ask what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it, under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 or the law where you live. Email hello@a2coder.dev and I'll answer within 30 days.
Changes
If this changes, the revision date at the top changes with it.
